The banking package, consisting of the Capital Requirements Regulation III (CRR III), the Capital Requirements Directive VI (CRD VI), and a separate legislative proposal to amend the CRR in the area of resolution, known as the "Daisy Chain" proposal, was published by the European Commission on 27 October 2021.
